City of Tulsa Employee Achieves Dream of Homeownership

Mindy serves her community as a City of Tulsa employee. Now, she's building connections with her neighbors as a Green Country Habitat homeowner in the new Buena Vida development in East Tulsa.

Mindy found the home-buying experience very straightforward and appreciated the included financial literacy training: "The homebuyer information, how to build credit, and the gardening class...are all really good. I actually took it to work and handed it out to coworkers because it's very educational."

With the program successfully completed, Mindy is excited to start painting, decorating, and transforming her new house into a warm and stable home for herself and her daughter.

Congratulations, and welcome home! 

Blitz Build 2024 Kick-Off Recap

The Blitz Build 2024 Kick-off was a huge success, thanks to the hard work and support from this year's participating sponsors.

In just one day, volunteer teams from Ameristar, First Presbyterian Church, Harvard Avenue Christian Church, ONE Gas, ONEOK, and the Tuesday Morning Miracle Workers began construction on six new affordable homes in what co-host Clark Howard called "a good old-fashioned Midwest wall raising."

We'll join Clark and the sponsors to dedicate each new home this fall, so stay tuned for more info!
